Savu Hub Property (“Savu Hub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website property.savuhubproperty.com (the “Site”), a property marketplace for renting, buying, and owning property on installments in Uganda. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Account information: name, email address and/or phone number, and password when you register for an account (via email, phone number, or Google Sign-In).
• Property listings: if you post a property, we collect the listing details you provide — title, description, price, location, category, condition, and photos.
• Contact/inquiry messages: name, email, phone, and message content when you use the “Ask an Agent” or Contact Us forms.
• Google Sign-In: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google, as permitted by your Google account settings.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your browser type and general usage of the Site, to keep it working correctly and secure.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account, and let you log in with your chosen method (email, phone, or Google).
• To display your property listings to other users, including your contact details (phone/WhatsApp) on listings you post, so interested buyers or renters can reach you directly.
• To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact and “Ask an Agent” forms.
• To maintain the security of the Site and prevent misuse.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences. When you first visit the Site, a cookie consent banner lets you choose which non-essential cookies to allow. You can change your choice at any time via your browser settings.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:

• Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — for optional account login. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp — “Start Chat” links open WhatsApp using the phone number a seller has provided; message content is handled by WhatsApp/Meta, not by us.
• OpenStreetMap — used to display property locations on the map.

Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Property listings and messages are retained as long as reasonably needed to operate the Site, or until you request their removal.

Your rights

You can view and update your account details at any time from your Profile page. To request a copy of your data, or to request that we delete your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
